Christopher Fisher, PhD

Dr. Christopher M. Fisher has been an active member of SSSS since 2006. During his time at SSSS, he's been a Student Ambassador, Newsletter Editor, Exhibits Chair, and is now in his third year as the Scientific Program Co-chair for the Annual Meeting. He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health Promotion & Sexology at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. Dr. Fisher also continues affiliations in the US serving as Director Emeritus of the Midlands Sexual Health Research Collaborative, and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the College of Public Health at University of Nebraska Medical Center. He continues his research in Australia in sexual literacy, HIV prevention, LGBTQI health, and public and sexual health pedagogy. Christopher is excited to continue serving SSSS, and looks forward to another amazing Scientific Program this November, and (re)connecting with colleagues, new and old, in Phoenix.

Robin Milhausen, PhD
Dr. Robin Milhausen is a sexuality researcher, an award-winning professor, and a prominent sexuality educator in the popular media. Dr. Milhausen completed her PhD in Applied Health Science with a minor in Human Sexuality from the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University (IU). Currently, Dr. Milhausen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. Her research interests include gender and sexuality, sexual problems and the experience of sexual pleasure, sexual and relationship satisfaction, and condom use errors and problems. She is a recent President of the Canadian Sex Research Forum, and is currently the Program Co-Chair for the Annual Guelph Sexuality Conference and an Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality.  Dr. Milhausen is a research fellow at the IU Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention and also at The Kinsey Institute. 

Carlos E. Rodriguez-Diaz, PhD

Dr. Carlos E. Rodriguez-Diaz is a health promotion and health education scientist. As a public health educator by training, his work has focused principally on sexual health promotion, HIV/AIDS, and health equity. He has been working in the public health field for over a decade addressing the needs of multiple populations at increased risk, including Latino/Hispanic populations in the US, prison populations, gay and bisexual men, other MSM, and trans populations. Since early in his career Dr. Rodriguez-Diaz has been engaged with community-based organizations in PR, initially as an outreach worker in programs for the prevention HIV among MSM and male sex workers and later as a researcher and advisor to the implementation of HIV and sexual health promotion programs, capacity building, and managerial efforts with several organizations. The findings from some of these collaborations have been presented at major scientific conferences and published in peer-review journals. Dr. Rodríguez-Diaz has received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and private organizations. All these funding sources have supported a research agenda to address inequities in the HIV epidemic and sexual health promotion in the US, the Caribbean Region, and Puerto Rico. Currently, Carlos is the Program Coordinator of the University of Puerto Rico - School of Public Health Doctoral Program in Public Health (DrPH) with specialty in Social Determinants of Health. As leader in this unique academic program, he has been developing a research and public health practice agenda to address social determinants of health among disenfranchised populations. He teaches courses and seminars on research methods.
