DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO SSSS AWARD

The Distinguished Service to SSSS Award was initiated in 1985. The award is granted to a Member of The Society in recognition of outstanding service to the organization. 

Nominating Individuals for the Distinguished Service to SSSS Award:

Members of the Awards and Fellows Committee and The Society’s Board of Directors can nominate candidates for the Distinguished Service to SSSS Award. This award is not open for nominations from the general membership of The Society.

Distinguished Service to SSSS Award Criteria:

This award is granted to a Member of The Society for outstanding and extensive service to the organization. Examples would include, but not be restricted to, extensive volunteer participation on committees or task forces, the holding of important organizational positions with the leadership, or previously elected to the Board of Directors. 

Distinguished Service to SSSS Award Nomination Guidelines (As modified by the SSSS Board of Directors in November 2008):

  • The Awards and Fellows Committee is committed to avoiding potential conflicts of interest. Hence, Members of the Awards and Fellows Committee and The Society’s Board of Directors are ineligible for consideration for any of The Society’s awards considered by the Awards and Fellows Committee during their term of service.
  • This award is not open for nominations from the general membership of The Society. Only Members of the Awards and Fellows Committee and The Society’s Board of Directors can nominate candidates for this award.
