Professional Membership
Professional Membership costs $199 per year, or an additional $15 per year for a printed version of The Journal of Sex Research delivered to your door. Benefits year runs January to December annually.
Professional Membership is open to individuals who hold a degree from an accredited college or university (e.g., associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral) in a relevant academic discipline or area of expertise, although exceptions can be granted. Professional Members enjoy the full range of SSSS membership benefits and privileges, including eligibility to serve on committees, vote in Society elections, and hold elected office. Student Membership
Student Membership costs $99 per year, or an additional $15 per year for a printed version of The Journal of Sex Research delivered to your door. Benefits year runs January to December annually.
Student Membership is available to individuals who are currently enrolled, either full-time or part-time, in an accredited college or university program leading to a degree, including associate's, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees. To maintain the integrity of this membership category, SSSS will request documentation verifying current enrollment, as determined by the Board of Directors and reviewed by SSSS staff.
Student Membership is intended for individuals actively engaged in degree-granting academic programs and does not include professionals who have completed a terminal degree and are primarily engaged in post-degree professional training or employment, such as postdoctoral fellows, medical residents, medical interns, apprentices, or similar roles, unless they are also currently enrolled in an accredited degree program. Members who return to an accredited college or university to pursue a terminal degree may transition from Professional Membership to Student Membership at their next membership renewal.
Student Members enjoy all rights and privileges of membership, including eligibility to serve on committees, vote in Society elections, and hold office as the Student Representative. For more information, refer to Article II of the SSSS Bylaws or contact us.
