Ambassador Program

Are you a SSSS Student Member?

You have an excellent opportunity available to you:
The SSSS Ambassador Program!

SSSS developed the Ambassador Program to promote professional development through learning experiences, mentoring, and advice.

Before the conference, ambassadors will provide connection with and promotion to their current city or other universities and colleges in their local vicinity.
During the 2025 Annual Conference, Ambassadors provide general support to the office staff by assisting with setup and strike down of tables and the on-site office, helping with pre-registration duties, assisting to moderate CE/breakout sessions, welcoming new and returning attendees, helping at the registration desk, and providing directions and general information to attendees.

In exchange, Ambassadors can develop relationships with established and senior members, engage in networking opportunities, be recognized in the Program, and receive a partial reimbursement on conference registration.

You must log in to the member portal for the application.

IMPORTANT:
Wednesday, September 10, 2025:

WHAT DOES AN AMBASSADOR DO?

  • Before the 2025 Annual Conference they promote the conference by emailing and posting conference promotional materials, make their department and other relevant departments at their institution or neighboring institutions aware of the SSSS Annual conference and connect them, if they wish, to the staff of SSSS, or share about the conference with fellow students by placing flyers on campus where allowed.
  • Before the conference, attend meetings about training for the role at the conference and they fulfill the promotional duties assigned before the conference.
  • While at the 2025 Annual Conference, a minimum of 6 hours of service time MUST be completed in order to receive the reimbursement set by the SSSS organization.

*Reimbursement amount is 50% of the early student member in-person conference registration rate. All applicants MUST be registered for the conference BEFORE completing the Ambassador Application form. The partial reimbursement will be given to you by check, which is drawn from a US bank (USD), on the last day that you attend the conference.
